We recently hired Cerdel Construction to remodel our home. Working with Cerdel Construction, located in Parsippany, NJ was one of the most unprofessional experiences we have had so far. We checked them out on Better Business Bureau, which rated them a A+ -- this is 100% not true. (Turns out if you need to make a complaint on BBB you have to file formal complaints and go through another process of mediation-- not worth it!) but I will tell you this, Cerdel Construction knows how to make the job look pretty but their work is NOT QUALITY WORK- 2 out of 3 bathrooms have problems and leakage with the tiles and plumbing. The brand new hardwood floors were not laid down correctly, and are bubbling up in many spots throughout the house. To properly fix these mistakes, we will easily pay $5,000.00 in repairs- something they should be responsible for. Carl Cerbone, the president of the company, says they back up their work for the first year, so we contacted within this time- and they delayed a response until after the year had expired so that they would no longer be responsible for the repairs.
Now that we are updating one of our unfinished areas of the house and are more knowledgable in construction, we can see that they installed main plumbing lines too close to the windows, therefore, we cannot sheetrock the walls properly! Solution- cover up a beautiful window with sheetrock or break a main plumbing line to relocate it so that we can save the window... what kind of choices are those??? They should have properly planned for that and never installed the lines in that section.
All I have to say is, just go somewhere else- their deceptions and problems are not worth the "prettiness" they provide.
